Dinner At 8 is the Tampa Bay area's “Premier” Matchmaking Service and  Dining & Social Club as well as  for single's living on the Gulf Coast here in Tampa Bay.    Our Dining and Social Club strives to bring people together, single adults with similar backgrounds and the desire to make new friends.  All of our members enjoy good times and monthly calendar of activiries. 

Our "Matchmaking Services" are designed to represent singles in their 20's up to their 70's to match you to that special person you've been looking for to share your life, love and make memories.  Our success is incomparable and we strive to give each and every client that personal attention that they won't find in on-line dating and other dating services.  

We live in the wonderful State of Florida. There is so much to do here and we need to take advantage of it.  We live where other people vacation.  We have the unique advantage of being able to enjoy all that Florida has to offer on a daily basis.  We all want a future full of fun and promise. We want a life full of activities, good friends and good times. We strive to provide an active, fun and varied social life. As owner's of Dinner At 8 we are naturally social and make everyone feel at home.  We are serious about our profession and work very hard to give back to the community.  We participate in community activities working well with other businesses and are members of the Greater Seminole Chamber of Commerce.

How are Dining & Social Club Works - We schedule regular “dinner parties” at some of the most interesting and innovative restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.  We also schedule regular “social events” such as cocktail parties, picnics, daytrips, sporting events and even weekend trips and extended vacations.  We have singles dances and other events that will help our members meet other singles who enjoy the same interests.  Whether it's a baseball game, dinner party, skydiving or scuba diving, we have it all.  We schedule activities for all age groups and our members love the variety.  Luckily, we are able to offer our members group discounts for many of our events.  Some of our events are FREE.   We have activities for the adventurous and not so adventurous.  Whatever your desire, there is something for everyone.  We invite all of our members to attend our dinner parties and extracurricular events.  The goal is  to make new friends, have a fabulous time and make memories.  

We're even planning a cruise for February 28th, 2010.  We have booked a singles cruise out of the Port of Tampa for 7 nights leaving on Sunday, February 28th, 2010.  This is on the Carnival Legend and we've gotten a fabulous rate for our guests.  Subscribe to our newsletters and we will keep you updated on other events that will interest you.  

How Our Dining and Social Club Works - A new member of our dining and social club registers on line by clicking on the "join now" section on our website.  Our members join for $99.00 for the year and you may pay on line.  Those wanting information on our "matchmaking" service are asked to call us at (727) 320-6911 to schedule a personal meeting.  We look forward to meeting you.  

Information on our "Matchmaking Services"  - We work with singles of all ages.  Some of our clients have tried match.com, e-harmony and other social dating sights and it hasn't worked.  Whatever their past experience has been, our clients are looking for that "special someone" to share their life.  People change, things change, relationships change.  Whatever your past relationships we firmly believe that there is more than one person for everyone.  Our task is to find that special person for you that will be your partner in life and love.  To do this we have to get to know you so we schedule a meeting, usually for coffee in a social setting that is convenient for you so that we can meet.  This meeting is so that you may get to know us and feel confident in our abilities.  It is also important for us to talk to you and decide if we honestly feel we will be successful in our efforts on your behalf.  If and when we decide to work together is a joint decision that we must all feel comfortable with.  If we truly do not feel we will be 100% successful we will let you know immediately.  Believe us, that initial meeting is very important to us.  We're dedicated, loyal and very good at what we do.  We're honest and very serious about our success.  We're also members of our local Seminole Chamber of Commerce. 

We began as strictly a dining and social club.  Dinner at 8 never intended to be a matchmaking service but some of our members approached us about matchmaking and we started investigating it. While researching the “matchmaking” industry, we found that with about 700 professional matchmakers in the United States, a large percentage of career matchmakers were former “headhunters” placing executives in positions with employers.  Beth Nielsen is the principal "matchmaker".  Prior to relocating to Florida she owned a large executive search firm in Chicago. As a very successful headhunter who had worked with Fortune 500 client companies all over the country, it seemed like a natural transition.  The rest is history!

We work hard to help our clients determine what they are looking for in a mate.  We assist them in discovering why they may have not had success in meeting someone in the past.  We then set about to find a partner with the attributes, interests and lifestyle that our client is searching for.  Your past doesn't matter.  What matters is the present and no matter what your relationship triumphs or failures have been, we hold your hand throughout the process in finding that person to share your life. 

 Beth Nielsen has never met a stranger and can be seen everywhere approaching people who she thinks may be a match for a client.  Extensive interviews and criminal background checks are done on everyone for their own protection.  Once this is done we set up a date to see if the chemistry is there.
